Cindy M. Wilkerson, ARM-P/E, CRM, CIC -- Executive Director of Redwood Empire Schools' Insurance Group, Current President RIMS Sacramento Valley Chapter. Cindy Wilkerson's insurance and risk management career has spanned over 35+ years. She has worked in various capacities at leading brokerages in the Sacramento area, with the past 25 years devoted to public school districts and charter schools. She has worked with many Joint Powers Authorities, individual school districts, and charter schools throughout California, managing programs and implementing risk management protocol to help schools minimize their claims and control costs. Cindy's work with joint powers authorities and individual schools includes educating leaders to empower them in providing a safer environment not only for students, but also for teachers, administrators, and parents. In our changing risk landscape, Cindy's goal is to navigate the challenging times ahead to maintain successful risk pools. Cindy represents the Sacramento Valley RIMS chapter as the President, and is currently working with local colleges and universities to assist Insurance and Risk Management Program students and graduates in finding internships and establishing their careers within the local community. Cindy has served the Sacramento Valley RIMS Chapter Board of Directors since 2005, leading her chapter toward achieving the Student Involvement Chapter Recognition Award for 2009 and a Student Membership Award for 2011. Cindy is committed to education, and is a lifelong learner working to continuously broaden her knowledge. She is a graduate of California State University in Sacramento, and has achieved the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation including the public entity and enterprise risk components, as well as the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.
